Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Budapest (Embarkation Day)

Boarding at the end of the afternoon in Budapest and settling into your cabin. Presentation of the crew. Welcome cocktail. Dinner on board. Traditional evening in Budapest.

Day 2: Budapest - Bratislava

Full board on board. Departure for the guided tour of Budapest, the belle époque city par excellence, the incarnation of the sharp contrast between twin cities divided by the Danube and united since 1872. You will discover: haughty Buda with its winding streets, its Baroque palaces, its Turkish bath establishments and its royal palace. And bustling Pest, which offers a proud mixture of architectural styles. Return on board. Departure on cruise at 1.00pm for Bratislava. Evening's entertainment on board.

Day 3: Bratislava - Vienna

Full board on board. Arrival in Bratislava at 7.00am and breakfast on board. At around 8.30am, departure for the guided tour of Bratislava. Dominated in the north by the slopes of the southern point of the Small Carpathians, bathed by the Danube, Bratislava occupies a privileged geographical site. The charm of the Slovakian capital lies in its old city: splendid Baroque palaces, churches and pleasant squares. Back on board and departure of the cruise toward Vienna. Arrival in Vienna in the evening. Free evening or tour to Vienna by night.

Day 4: Vienna

Full board on board.Visit of the Schoenbrunn castle, summer residence of the imperial family and part of Vienna, imperial city and cradle of music. Back to the boat. Visit of the Hofburg, the Habsburg Palace houses the sumptuous imperial apartments. Return on board. After dinner, possibility to attend a concert of Viennese music (optional and depending on availability). Departure of the boat at around midnight toward Dürnstein.

Day 5: Durnstein - Melk

Full board on board. Arrival of the boat in Dürnstein at around 8.00am, which you will explore with your hostess. The town, steeped in the legend of Richard the Lionheart, contains an astonishing abbey, dazzling with light blue and white, which has one of the most beautiful Baroque bell towers in all Austria. Back on board and departure toward Melk. Crossing of the wonderful Wachau where Gothic ruins alternate with picturesque villages. The mildness of the climate here is conducive to wine and apricot production. Arrival in Melk in the middle of the afternoon. Guided tour to the benedictine abbey of Melk. You will get the chance to admire the Baroque marble hall, library and abbey church. Back on board, overnight stop.

Day 6: Melk - Grein - Linz

Full board on board. Departure of the boat early in the morning. Sailing on the Strudengau feared in the past for its whirlpools and arrival at Grein early in the the morning. Grein, a town dominated by its 15th century castle, is a jewel which conceals a curious feature: the smallest Rococo theatre still operating. Free time to discover the town at your own pace. Back on board and departure on cruise for Linz. Arrival in Linz in mid-afternoon and departure for the tour to the Baroque monastery of Saint Florian where the composer Bruckner used to be a choirboy. Tour to the basilica, the library and the marble hall. Back to the boat for Gala evening. Departure of the boat toward Passau at the end of the evening.
