Detailed itinerary:

Day 1: COLOGNE (Embarkation Day)

Passengers are welcome to board our ship in Cologne at 6:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we’ll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail. We'll have dinner and remain in port overnight.

Full board on board. This morning, guided tour on foot of Cologne and its magnificent Gothic cathedral, which was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site in 1996. We’ll then visit the Fragrance Museum Farina-House and learn about the birthplace of the Eau de Cologne. Return onboard and begin our cruise. The afternoon will be spent cruising with a lecture on board before an evening of entertainment. We'll remain in port overnight.

Full board on board. Arrival in Mainz early in the morning. Guided tour on foot of the Mainz Cathedral and its museum. The three-nave cathedral is predominantly Romanesque in architecture, but later additions over many centuries resulted in the different influences seen today. After our visit, we’ll return to our ship and cruise towards Worms, arriving in the late afternoon. Guided tour on foot of Worms and its cathedral. This cathedral is one of the finest examples of High Romanesque architecture in Germany. Return on board in the evening. We’ll remain in port overnight.

Full board on board. Cruise towards Mannheim early in the morning. Join us for an excursion to visit Heidelberg. Dominated by its red sandstone castle perched above, the city has preserved its unequaled charm. Return on board in Speyer. This afternoon, guided tour on foot of Speyer and its cathedral. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this cathedral has maintained the overall form and dimensions of the original 11th-century Romanesque structure. Its design sets the standard for the many of the churches built in the Rhineland. Return on board in the evening. Cruise during the night.

Full board on board. We'll spend the morning cruising, so please feel free to attend the onboard lecture. In the afternoon, guided tour of Strasbourg and its cathedral. Famous for its single spire and astronomical clock, this cathedral is widely considered among the finest examples of late Gothic architecture. We’ll also visit the nearby Musée de l’Œuvre Notre-Dame, famous for its collection representing seven centuries of sculptures, glass windows, and architectural artifacts, as well as the building plans for the Strasbourg Cathedral and other great churches in the region. Gala evening.
