lagoon to Taglio di Po sailing through the Adriatic Sea. Lunch on
board. Arrival at Taglio di Po around 1:30 pm. Departure by coach for the optional guided excursion to Padua, the city of St. Anthony, but also a city of art and pilgrimage. After the visit of the famous “Santo”
basilica, dedicated to St Anthony, you will have the chance to stroll
in the historic centre of the town, and to discover the “Cafe Pedrocchi,” dear to the inhabitants of Padua. During this time the ship will sail to Polesella where we will join it around 6:30 pm. Back on board for
dinner. Free evening. Overnight stopover.
DAY 3: POLESELLA – FERRARA – VERONA – TAGLIO DI PO
After breakfast, departure by coach for the optional excursion to Ferrara. Listed as a wold heritage site by UNESCO, this refined city was once home to the Este court. Back to the ship for lunch. In the afternoon, departure by coach for an optional tour of Verona, a magnificent Italian city, famous for its star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet, and its Roman theatre. Board the ship in Polesella and cruise to Taglio di Po which we will reach in the evening. Gala dinner on board. Overnight stopover.
DAY 4 : TAGLIO DI PO-CHIOGGIA-VENICE
Departure
of the ship early in the morning. Enjoy breakfast while cruising. We will reach Chioggia (or
thereabouts) around during the morning. Chioggia, a port city of Roman origin, was the second most important city in the republic of La Serenissima and houses works and testimony from various periods and in various styles. Explore the town on your own. Back to the boat for lunch. Departure of the cruise for Venice, which we will reach around 3:00pm. Optional guided tour of the Doges Palace - the symbol of Venetian glory and power - and the celebrated Piazza San Marco. Back on board for the evening. Dinner on board. Free evening. DAY 5 : VENICE - ISLANDS IN THE LAGOON - VENICE
Breakfast on board. Departure for the optional excursion to the Islands of the Lagoon, such as Murano, famous for its glasswork. You can also visit its beautiful churches, particularly Santa Maria et San Danato, one of the oldest in the lagoon. In Burano, a fisherman's island, also famous for its lacework sitll being made here. Board the ship again in the wharf of the 7 Martyrs. Luncy on board. Free afternoon or the chance to take a trip in a gondola. Back on board for the evening. Dinner and free eveing. Overnight stopover.
DAY 6 : VENICE
Departure early in the morning from the Wharf of the 7 Martyrs for San Basilio Wharf. Breakfast onboard. Disembarkaion at 9:00am. End of our journey.
