DAY
1: Strasbourg
Embarkation
in Strasbourg between 6:00-7:00 PM. Settling into the cabin followed
by the introduction of the crew during a welcome cocktail. Dinner on board. An optional sightseeing tour
is offered through the old quarters of Strasbourg by riverboat
(depending on the number of participants).
Return on board prior to departure of
the cruise heading north.
DAY 2: Strasbourg - Rudesheim
Breakfast on board. Early in the
morning, we will pass through the locks of Iffezheim and Gambsheim, the two
largest locks on the Rhine. While sailing down the Rhine, we pass
the towns of Spire, Mannheim, Worms, Mainz and Wiesbaden. Lunch on board. Call in
at Rudesheim around 4:00PM . Disembark for sightseeing and an
optional sightseeing tour.
Dinner on board. This
evening enjoy the Drosselgasse where people from all over the
world enjoy wine while they sing along with the bands.
DAY
3: Rudeshiem - Koblenz
Departure of the ship around 6:00 AM.
Have breakfast on board as the boat heads towards Koblenz along
the most beautiful stretch of the Rhine, recently named a World
Heritage Site by UNESCO. We'll pass by Bacharach (an
historic wine city), Kaub and Oberwesel. There are several
historic castles along the banks. We will pass the historic rock
of Loreley and the beautiful village of Boppard. We will
call on Koblenz about 1:00 PM. You can visit the old quarter with
our hostess. Dinner on board. Free evening in Koblenz.
DAY
4: Koblenz- Rudesheim
Departure of the ship early in the
morning with breakfast on board. We will sail past quaint villages and
vineyards on the banks of the Rhine. We arrive in Rudesheim at about 5:00 PM. Dinner on board. Evening is on
your own to enjoy the Drosselgasse. Return on board at your
leisure as the ship overnights in Rudesheim.
DAY 5: Rudesheim - Speyer / Mannheim or Karlsruhe
Departure of the ship early in the
morning with breakfast on board. We sail up the Rhine heading for
Spire. Breakfast and lunch on board. We pass by Wiesbaden,
Nierstein, Worms with an optional sightseeing tour of Heideberg
and Mannheim. Dinner and farewell evening. We'll put in to Spire,
Mannheim or Karlsruhe depending on availability.
Arrival in Frankfurt is early in the
afternoon and an optional tour of the city is offered, or there is free time
for your own sightseeing and shopping. Return on board for dinner.
The evening is free in Frankfurt where the ship overnights.
DAY 6: To Strasbourg
Breakfast on board. Today, we will sail
up the Rhine River towards Strasbourg and we will have lunch on board. Before reaching Strasbourg, we will pass through the Iffezheim and
Gambsheim Locks. Arrival in Strasbourg will
be between 3:00-4:00 PM where disembarkation from the cruise will take place upon arrival.
