Day 1: STRASBOURG
Boarding between 6.00pm and 7.00pm in Strasbourg. Time to settle comfortably in your cabins before meeting the crew during a welcome cocktail reception. Dinner on board. Visit Strasbourg by night (optional) on a canal river boat (subject to availability).
Day 2: STRASBOURG - FRANKFURT ( Main )
Early morning start cruising through the locks in Gambsheim and Iffezheim, which are the two biggest on the Rhine . Breakfast while cruising downstream, passing the towns of Worms, Gernstein, Nierstein. Then on to Frankfurt along the Main. It is one of the main tributaries of the Rhine which connects the Danube to Frankfurt, the largest town on its banks. Lunch will be served on board while cruising. Arrive in Frankfurt early afternoon. Either choose to have some time to yourselves in the city or join the excursion (optional ). Frankfurt is a perfect combination of ancient and modern architectural styles and well worth a visit! Dinner will be served on board followed by an entertaining evening. The ship continues cruising overnight.
Day 3: FRANKFURT - COCHEM ( Moselle )
Morning spent cruising along the most beautiful stretch of the Romantic Rhine to Coblenz. Along the way we sail through verdant countryside and lush vineyards with their romantic castles before reaching the famous Lorelei rock. Arriving in Coblenz, we leave the Rhine and sail along the Moselle, one its major tributaries, before reaching Cochem, known as he “ pearl of the Moselle ” mid-afternoon. Follow your guide and tour the old town then join an excursion (optional) to the castle of Reichburg, which towers above. Return to the ship for dinner.
Day 4: COCHEM - COBLENZ (the Moselle and the Rhine )
Breakfast on board then spend the morning cruising gently up the Moselle. Lunch on board before arriving in Coblenz , which lies at the confluence of the Rhine and the Moselle, early afternoon. Accompany your guide on a visit to the old town which is centered around the churches of St Castor (9th/10th centuries) and the church of Our Lady (Liebfrauen- Kirche - 12th to 15th centuries) which have all been beautifully restored over the past few years. Enjoy a walk along the banks of the Moselle, below the old castle, then on to visit the Palace of the Princes on the banks of the Rhine. Dinner and an entertaining evening on board. Overnight stop.
Day 5: COBLENZ- RUDESHEIM (Rhine )
Breakfast on board before we sail on to Rudesheim along the romantic Rhine. Lunch on board before arriving at our destination during the afternoon. Join the (excursion optional) and taste some wine in a local cellar before continuing on to visit the musical instrument museum. Dinner on board before spending an entertaining evening in the Drosselgasse, which is famous for its open -air taverns and dancehalls. Return to the boat for the overnight.
Day 6: RUDESHEIM - MANNHEIM
Breakfast on board and enjoy a leisurely morning relaxing on board before arriving in Mannheim after lunch. Leave on the guided visit (optional) to Heidelberg , to see the old town and the castle, accompanied by a local guide. Have some time on your own in the town before joining the ship in Mannheim. Gala evening on board before the ship cruises over night.
Day 7: STRASBOURG
Breakfast on board while sailing back to Strasbourg, through the biggest locks on the Rhine in Iffezheim and Gambsheim , arriving in Strasbourg between 9:00 AM. (3b rue du Havre). End of the cruise.
