Itinerary

1st Day: STRASBOURG Boarding between 6:00 pm and 7:00pm. Settling into your cabin. Presentation of the crew. Welcome cocktail. Departure of the boat at around 20h. Dinner and accommodation on board.
2nd Day: MAINZ – FRANKFURT Arrival in Mainz around 8am. At the confluence of the Rhine and the Main, sheltering beneath its thousand year old cathedral, Mainz, the city of Gutenberg, is the link between past and present. Explore the city in the company of our hostess. At around 11h, departure of the cruise for Frankfurt. Lunch during the cruise. In the afternoon, optional tour of Frankfurt. A place of business, a commercial hub, the mixture of ancient and modern will be bound to surprise you. Dinner and continuation of the cruise.
3rd Day: MILTENBERG – WERTHEIM Arrival in Miltenberg early in the morning. Calling in to explore the town on your own. The market place surrounded by half-timbered houses, the main street with the Hotel Reisen and the old town hall make Miltenberg a calm and peaceful town. Lunch and continuation of the cruise to Wertheim. Arrival at the end of the afternoon. Free time to explore. Dinner. Overnight stopover.
4th Day: WERTHEIM – WURTZBURG – GERLACHSHAUSEN Breakfast during the cruise. Sailing to Karlstadt. Lunch on board. Departure by coach for the optional tour of Wurtzburg. Situated on the right bank of the Main, Wurtzburg is famous for the residence of its bishop princes, a sumptuous Baroque edifice. During this time, the boat will sail to Wurtzburg where we will rejoin it. Continuation of the cruise to Gerlachshausen. Dinner on board, followed by an evening's entertainment. Overnight stopover.
5th Day: GERLACHSAUSEN – ROTHENBURG – BAMBERG Cruise to Volkach. Breakfast on board. Optional tour of the town of Rothenburg. A magnificent town perched high on a hill, behind its ramparts Rothenburg shelters picturesque narrow streets lined with half-timbered houses and craft shops. Rothenburg is a must on the Romantics Trail. During this time, the boat will sail to Schweinfurt where we will rejoin it. Continuation of the cruise to Bamberg. Dinner and accommodation on board. Overnight stopover.
6th Day: BAMBERG – NUREMBERG – MUHLHAUSEN Breakfast during the cruise. Cruise on the Rhine – Main – Danube canal, inaugurated in 1992. Lunch on board. Arrival in Nuremberg around 2:00pm. Optional tour of the town. Nuremberg seems to come straight out of the Middle Ages. “The little jewel of the Empire”, the old town gathers around the market place: Gothic edifices, half-timbered houses and merchants' residences. Boarding in the afternoon and cruise to Muhlhausen. Arrival in the evening. Dinner followed by a show put on by the crew. Accommodation on board. Overnight stopover.
7th Day: MUHLHAUSEN – RATISBONNE Morning's sailing. Breakfast and lunch during the cruise. Stop in Kelheim, the starting point for the optional excursion to Ratisbonne. The fourth largest city in Bavaria, Ratisbonne is an important industrial centre (BMW, Siemens, Triumph). The historic centre nurtures memories accumulated over 2000 years of history. During this time, the boat will sail to Ratisbonne where we will join it. Gala dinner followed by an evening of dancing. Departure of the cruise during the night.
8th Day: RATISBONNE – PASSAU – STRASBOURG Breakfast during the cruise. Arrival in Passau around 9h. Disembarkation and freedom to explore Passau with our hostess. Lunch in Passau. At around 3:00pm, departure by coach for Strasbourg via the motorway, passing Munich and Stuttgart. Arrival in Strasbourg in the evening (river mooring, rue du Havre). End of our journey.
