Rhone & Saone River Cruise    Chalon - Martigues -  7 Days  (ANT)
	CHALON   MACON   LYON   TAIN L’HERMITAGE  AVIGNON  ARLES  MARTIGUES

DAY 1 : CHALON 

Embarkation at about 6:30 PM in Chalon. Settling into the cabins. Introduction of the crew over a welcome drink. Dinner aboard. The vessel will be heading for Macon after embarkation.

DAY 2 : MACON-LYON  
Breakfast aboard, and then, you will have the opportunity to go for a walk in the old town of Macon. The vessel will leave Macon around 11:00 AM and we will stop in Montmerle after lunch. We suggest you leave for the optional visit, by bus, of the Beaujolais vineyards as well as the “Hameau du Vin”, a unique European wine museum. We will have dinner aboard and put in for the night in Lyon.

DAY 3 : LYON – TAIN L’HERMITAGE

Breakfast aboard. The day will start with an optional excursion in Lyon, the second largest town in France, after Paris. Lyon is situated between the Rhone and the Saône Rivers. Lunch aboard. We will be heading south for Tain l’Hermitage, where we will arrive in the evening and put in for the night.

DAY 4 : TAIN L’HERMITAGE – THE GORGES OF ARDECHE - AVIGNON

The vessel will leave early in the morning. Breakfast aboard. We will pass nearby to Valence, Montelimar and Viviers. After lunch, we suggest that you take the optional excursion to the Ardeche Gorges. The landscapes are amazing and wonderful. We will return aboard in the evening for dinner. The vessel will be heading next for Avignon.

DAY 5 : AVIGNON - ARLES :

Breakfast aboard. Optional guided visit of the Pope’s Palace, a real citadel on a rocky peak surrounded by ramparts. Lunch aboard and we will be heading south for Arles. You will have the opportunity to visit the old town of Arles on our own. Dinner aboard and put in for the night.

DAY 6 : ARLES - MARTIGUES - CAMARGUE

Breakfast aboard. Optional excursion to the Camargue, the land of marshes, rice fields, bulls, pink flamingos and white Camargue horses. Spare time is allowed in the wonderful city of Saintes Marie de la Mer, famous for its annual gypsy pilgrimages. We will go back on board in Port Saint Louis for lunch. We will then be heading for Martigues. Captain’s dinner this evening and put in for the night.

DAY 7 : MARTIGUES

Breakfast aboard. End of this lovely cruise and disembarkation in Martigues after breakfast.

Prices Include: Full board cruise from dinner of the first day to the lunch of  the last day in a double cabin with shower and toilets, welcome drink, entertainment, the Captain's Evening, the assistance of our hostess on board, and port taxes.

Prices Do Not Include: Drinks, coffee with lunch and dinner, insurance and optional excursions.
