DAY 1 : Martigues-Arles-The CamargueEmbarkation at 5:00 PM and settling in the cabin. In the afternoon, enjoy a visit of Martigues, then sail towards Arles. We will pass through the Fos Canal which links Martigues to the Rhône. A leisurely morning cruise along the Mediterranean Sea before arriving at the Barcarin Lock. In the evening, introduction of the crew during a welcome cocktail. Dinner and evening with entertainment. Continuation of the cruise. Overnight in Arles, where we’ll arrive around 10:30 PM DAY 2 :
Arles-Avignon-Viviers-Le Vivarais
Breakfast on board. Departure of the boat early in the morning towards Avignon, passing along the fortress of Beaucaire and Tarascon. Arrival in Avignon around 8:00 AM. After breakfast, let’s enjoy an optional guided tour of the Cité des Papes and its palaces, a true citadel on a rocky peak and surrounded by ramparts. This palace once hosted a rich court of artists and intellectuals. At the bottom of the palace, you will be able to admire the Saint Bénezet Bridge, better known as the Pont d’Avignon. Free time in the town centre, then return on board. Cruise to Viviers, passing through the Donzère Canal and the Bollène Lock. Arrival in Viviers around 8:30 PM. Dinner on board. After dinner, optional guided walking tour to discover this Episcopal town, which has been famous since the 5th century. In its cathedral, you’ll admire the Gobelins tapestries. Return on board, passing through the streets with their old houses. Overnight in Viviers. DAY
3 : Viviers - Tain l’Hermitage- Côtes du Rhône
Breakfast on board. Departure for an optional tour to the Gorges de l’Ardèche, Bourg St Andéol, crossing the Gras Plateau, to reach Vallon Pont d’Arc. The Ardèche River has carved out the cliff, building a grandiose natural arch over a hundred feet high called the “Pont d’Arc”. Along the way, you’ll discover the “Belvédère du Colombier” and the “Ranc pointu”. Located on a high cliff, they offer a striking view of the gorges: St Martin d’Ardèche, le Teil, Rochemaure and le Pouzin. Return on board between 12:00 Noon and 1:00 PM at la Voulte. Lunch on board as we sail up the Rhône. After passing Valence, arrival in Tain l’Hermitage around 4:30 PM. There, you can enjoy an optional guided tour with a wine tasting of “Côtes du Rhone”, “Crozes Hermitage” and “Hermitage” wines. Return on board for dinner and farewell evening. Overnight in Tain l’Hermitage. DAY 4 : Tain l’Hermitage-Vienne-Lyon Early morning departure to reach Vienne, where we’ll stop to enjoy an optional guided tour of this ancient Roman town. Return on board and cruise towards Lyon. Lunch on board and disembarkation at 2:00 PM at Quai Claude Bernard. End of our services. Cruise
