Itinerary

st Day: PARIS Boarding in Paris between 18h and 19h. Settling into your cabin. Welcome cocktail in the lounge in the company of the Captain and crew. Dinner on board followed by a thematic presentation: “A definition of Impressionism, its origins, the technique, the context”. Overnight stopover.
nd Day: PARIS, discover the Impressionists' favourite places Breakfast on board. This morning will be devoted to the guided audio tour of the Chateau of Auvers-sur-Oise. An enjoyable stroll in the time of Impressionism will take you to the heart of Haussmann's Paris to the favourite places of the Impressionists: at the water's edge, the “guinguettes”, the cafés, the beaches of Normandy. Back to the boat for lunch. In the afternoon, you will get the chance to visit the Musée Marmottan in Paris. This museum houses the largest collection of paintings by Claude Monet and provides an overview of how his work developed, from the first caricatures of his youth to the water lilies, his mature works. After this visit, we will rejoin the boat for a cruise on the Seine “by night”. Dinner on board. Overnight stopover.
rd Day: PARIS – GIVERNY – In the footsteps of Claude Monet – VERNON Morning's sailing towards Conflans Sainte Honorine. Breakfast during the cruise. Entertainment on board. Second thematic presentation: “Claude Monet, the quintessence of Impressionism”. Lunch on board. This afternoon is devoted to the visit to Claude Monet's house in Giverny. The artist spent half his life here, dividing his time between working on his garden, a living painting if ever there was one, and the great passion of his final years, the Water Lilies series. You will be free to explore the house, which houses Monet's private collection of Japanese prints, and the garden, a haven of greenery. Back on board in Mantes la Jolie and onwards to Vernon. Overnight stopover in Vernon. “Guingette” evening board.
th Day: ROUEN in the footsteps of the Impressionists Departure early in the morning to sail to Rouen. Breakfast during the cruise. Entertainment and lunch on board. Our chef's menu takes its inspiration from the recipes of Claude Monet (who was a great lover of food!). In the afternoon, thematic guided tour of Rouen in the footsteps of the Impressionists (cathedral and Impressionist collection in the Musée des Beaux-Arts). Back to the boat for the gala dinner. Overnight stopover.
th Day: CAUDEBEC EN CAUX – HONFLEUR Morning's sailing. Breakfast during the cruise. Decidedly the most beautiful section of the Seine with its numerous meanders and its sleepy villages which have inspired many a painter. Third thematic presentation: “The geography of Impressionism: Paris and the suburbs, Honfleur and the Norman coast”. Lunch on board. In the afternoon, visit to the Seine marine museum in Caudebec. A museum essential to understanding the role of the Seine over the centuries, picturing its importance in the 19th century and thus gaining a better understanding of the river's economic, artistic and cultural status. Back to the boat for dinner. Departure for Honfleur in the evening.
th Day: HONFLEUR – ETRETAT – the Alabaster Coast – YPORT After breakfast, tour of Honfleur on foot: the cradle of Impressionism where Boudin, Monet, Bazille, Jongkind would meet at the famous Saint Siméon farm and try to capture the changing light of the estuary. Free tour of the Eugène Boudin museum. Back to the boat for lunch. The afternoon will be devoted to the tour of the Alabaster Coast, the natural heritage of the Pays de Caux and the Seine estuary: Etretat, Yport, Fécamp. Unmissable sites that you will view differently after this cruise. Back on board in the evening. Dinner. Overnight stopover.
th Day: HONFLEUR Breakfast on board. Disembarkation around 9h. End of our journey.
