DAY 1: STRASBOURG (Embarkation Day)

Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we’ll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail. We'll cruise to Mainz.

DAY 2: MAINZ - FRANKFURT

We’ll arrive in Mainz early morning. This city, the birthplace of Gutenberg, which lies at the confluence of the Rhine and the Main is a perfect blend of past and present with its thousand year old cathedral. We’ll tour the city with your escort before we sail on around in the morning towards Frankfurt.

The afternoon, join us for the excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Sightseeing tour of Frankfurt, a major business hub.
DISCOVERY: Frankfurt “Mainhattan” and the Main Tower: Panoramic tour of Frankfurt and ascent of the Main Tower.

DAY 3: MILTENBERG - WERTHEIM

We’ll stop off in Miltenberg early this morning. Join us to discover this peaceful town with its market place lined with half-timbered houses, its fine main street, hotel Reisen and old Town Hall. We’ll have lunch on board before continuing on to Wertheim. Enjoy some free time to discover the town on your own before returning to the ship for dinner.

DAY 4: WERTHEIM - WURZBURG - KITZINGEN

We’ll cruise towards Karlstad. In the afternoon, join us on an excursion common for both Classical and Discovery excursions packages: Visit Wurzburg on the right bank of the Main, which is famous for its baroque palace, former residence of the prince-bishops. In the meantime, the ship cruises on to Wurzburg where we will join it late afternoon. We’ll then cruise to Kitzingen. Enjoy an evening of onboard entertaining.

DAY 5: KITZINGEN - ROTHENBURG - BAMBERG

Early this morning we’ll start cruising along the Main to reach Volkach. Join us on an excursion common for both Classical and Discovery excursions packages: Guided tour to Rothenburg, a magnificent walled town set up high on the hills over the river, with its narrow streets lined with picturesque half-timbered houses and craftsmen’s workshops. It is indeed one of the most beautiful towns on the Romantic Road. In the meantime the ship will cruise on to Schweinfurt where we will join it, before continuing on to Bamberg.

DAY 6: BAMBERG - NURNBERG - MUHLHAUSEN

This morning will be spent cruising on the Rhine-Main-Danube canal, which was opened on 25th September 1992. We’ll have lunch on board before arriving in Nurnberg early afternoon. Join us on an excursion common for both Classical and Discovery excursions packages: Visit of Nuremberg We’ll enjoy a panoramic visit of the monuments found outside of the city’s medieval walls before arriving in the Marktplatz. On foot, you’ll see the gorgeous Schöner Brunnen and the Frauenkirche. During our tour, we’ll stop and taste one of the local specialties, Lebkuchen, the city's famous gingerbread. We’ll return to the ship during the afternoon and sail on to reach Muhlhausen in the evening. Enjoy an evening of onboard entertainment.

DAY 7: MUHLHAUSEN - REGENSBURG

This morning will be spent cruising to Kelheim. Join us on an excursion common for both Classical and Discovery excursions packages: Visit of Regensburg, which is the fourth biggest town in Bavaria and also a major industrial hub - with major firms such as BMW, Siemens and Triumph. The historic centre of the city has kept all its original charm with souvenirs of over 20 centuries. In the meantime, the ship cruises on to join us in Regensburg.

DAY 8: REGENSBURG - PASSAU

This morning will be spent cruising towards Passau. Enjoy some free time to visit the town on your own. Its baroque buildings and narrow romantic streets are unforgettable. Return to ship and sail on through the attractive region of Engelhartszell. Enjoy an evening of onboard entertainment.

DAY 9: PASSAU - MELK - VIENNA

The morning will be spent cruising to reach Melk early in the morning, join us on an excursion for both packages: Visit of the abbey of Melk, perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Danube. It is the symbol of Austrian baroque at its finest. We’ll return to the ship at the end of the morning and sail on to Dürnstein, arriving there for lunch around noon. Enjoy some free time to explore this picturesque village, and its baroque church, which is the most famous in the Wachau region thanks to the legend of King Richard the Lion Heart. We’ll return on board in the afternoon before sailing on to Vienna. Putting in for the night in Vienna.

Join us for the evening excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Tour of the illuminated sights of the city.
DISCOVERY: Come to the lounge and learn to waltz with traditionally costumed dancers.

DAY 10: VIENNA - ESZTERGOM

Join us for the excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Visit to the palace of Schöbrunn with its magnificent park.
DISCOVERY: The high art of Viennese living: music and Viennese cafes. Tour of the Konzerthaus concert hall (Note: The tour of the Konzerthaus might be replaced by a tour of the Musikverein or the opera if it is booked for shows or not available).

Enjoy a free afternoon to tour this magnificent city on your own or join us on an excursion proposed: Horse-drawn carriage ride though Vienna. We’ll then cruise towards Esztergom, passing Bratislava on the way. Tonight is our dinner and gala evening on board.

DAY 11: ESZTERGOM - BUDAPEST

Enjoy some free time to visit Esztergom on your own, the former capital of Hungary, under the reign of the Arpad kings. Today, it is still a prominent town and the seat of the Hungarian archbishops. Esztergom is decidedly full of treasures with its neo-classical basilica and former Royal palace. We’ll set sail once again around noon. Enjoy lunch on board before arriving in Budapest midafternoon. The Hungarian capital which lies along the banks of the Danube, also known as the “pearl of the Danube” is one of the most attractive cities in Europe. Enjoy some free time to explore the city before returning to the ship for dinner. Join us on an excursion common for both Classical and Discovery excursions packages: Visit of Budapest "by night".

DAY 12: BUDAPEST

Enjoy a day on your own, or join us for the excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: sightseeing tour of the city.
DISCOVERY: Explore Budapest by bike. Return to the ship. Have a free afternoon to stroll round this attractive city

This afternoon, enjoy some free time or join us on an OPTIONAL excursion (not included in the Classical and Discovery excursions packages): Discover Gellert baths and spa.

After dinner, enjoy a free evening or join us on an excursion commom for both Classical and Discovery excursions packages: traditional folk evening in Budapest.

DAY 13: BUDAPEST (Disembarkation Day)

Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9:00 a.m. End of our services.

DAY 1: BUDAPEST (Embarkation Day)

After dinner, join us for an excursion common for both Classical and Discovery excursions packages: An evening of traditional entertainment in Belgrade.

DAY 2: BUDAPEST

Our ship will depart in the morning. Join us for the excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Guided tour of Budapest.
DISCOVERY: Budapest by bike.

In the afternoon, enjoy some time on your own exploring Esztergom, the former capital of Hungary. The city is full of treasures such as the Neo-classical basilica and former Royal palace. We'll return on board in the evening and leave for Vienna. Evening of onboard entertainment.

DAY 3: BUDAPEST - VIENNA

We'll arrive in Vienna early afternoon. Enjoy some free time or join us for an excursion for both packages: A visit to Hofburg Palace. You can have an evening on your own tonight or join us on one of the excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Tour of Vienna by night.
DISCOVERY : Come to the lounge and learn to waltz with traditionally costumed dancers.

DAY 4: VIENNA

Morning excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Guided tour of Schoenbrunn Palace.
DISCOVERY: The high art of Viennese living: Music and Viennese cafes.

We'll return to the ship for lunch. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore this marvelous city at your own pace or take part in our OPTIONAL excursion (not included in the Classical and Discovery excursions packages): Horse-drawn carriage ride though Vienna. We'll return to the ship for dinner.

Proposed OPTIONAL evening excursion: Concert of Viennese music (subject to availability).

Our ship will depart at midnight.

DAY 5: MELK - PASSAU

We'll cruise along the most beautiful section of the Wachau Valley this morning, arriving in Melk in the morning. We’ll then set off on an excursion to Durnstein, the fortified village where Richard the Lionheart was once held prisoner. We'll return to the ship for lunch. In the afternoon, excursion common for both Classical and Discovery excursions packages: Visit the Melk Abbey. Originally a Baroque-style palace built between 1702 and 1736, it is now a Benedictine monastery that hosts a prestigious coed school with more than 900 students. We'll return on board and leave for Passau. Tonight's entertainment will be provided by the crew.

DAY 6: PASSAU

After breakfast, explore Passau in the company of our host/hostess, strolling the narrow romantic streets and admiring is Baroque-style buildings. We'll then cruise to Regensburg

DAY 7: REGENSBURG - HILPOSTEIN

Excursion common for both Classical and Discovery excursions packages: Guided tour of Regensburg. The fourth largest town in Bavaria and a major industrial hub for giant firms such as BMW, Siemens and Triumph, its historic center is seeping with 20 centuries of history. Our ship will continue on to Kelheim, where we'll find it at the end of the morning. We’ll cruise the Rhine–Main–Danube Canal to Hilpostein.

DAY 8: HILPOSTEIN - NUREMBERG - BAMBERG

We'll arrive in Nuremberg in the morning. Excursion common for both Classical and Discovery excursions packages: Guided tour of the city. Nuremberg is Bavaria’s second-largest city and an energetic place where the nightlife is intense and the beer is as dark as coffee. During our tour of the city, the ship will sail to Erlangen. We'll then cruise to Bamberg.

DAY 9: BAMBERG - ROTHENBURG

We'll spend the morning cruising to Schweinfurt. Excursion comon for both Classical and Discovery excursions packages: Rothenburg, a magnificent walled town set up high on the hills over the river—its narrow streets lined with picturesque half-timbered houses and workshops. It is one of the most beautiful towns on the historic Romantic Road. During our tour, the ship will sail to Kitzingen. We'll have dinner on board and cruise through the night.

DAY 10: WURTZBURG - WERTHEIM

Excursion common for both Classical and Discovery excursions packages: Guided tour of Wurtzburg, nestled in a beautiful, hilly location on the river and possessing a wealth of history. Our ship will continue on to Karlstad, where we'll find it at the end of the morning. We'll find cruise to Wertheim.

DAY 11: WERTHEIM - MILTENBERG - ASCHAFFENBURG

Explore Miltenberg in the company of our host/hostess and discover this charming, very typical German village. We'll cruise to Aschaffenburg.

DAY 12: ASCHAFFENBURG - FRANKFURT - MAINZ

Our ship will depart for Frankfurt. Excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: tour of Frankfurt, the largest financial center in continental Europe.
DISCOVERY: “Mainhattan and the Main Tower"— a panoramic tour of Frankfurt and ascent of the Main Tower.

We'll return on board and cruise to Mainz. Mainz lies at the confluence of the Rhine and the Main is a perfect blend of past and present. We'll arrive in the late afternoon when you'll be able to explore the city in the company of our host/hostess. Tonight is our gala evening.

DAY 13: MAINZ - STRASBOURG (Disembarkation Day)

To help get your blood moving, join us for an aerobics class as we cruise to Strasbourg. After passing through two impressive locks on the Rhine, Iffezheim and Gambsheim, we'll arrive in Strasbourg at early morning. where you'll disembark.

Advisements:

  • A valid passport is required for travel. Passports must be valid at least 6 months after the last day of travel.
  • Please check visa requirements with your local consulate(s); responsibility for obtaining visas rests with the traveler.
  • For reasons of navigation and passenger safety, the cruise operator and the Captain of the ship reserve the right to modify the itinerary of the cruise .
  • Until further notice, it is only possible to select one of the 2 excursions packages on offer. You will thus only be able to book the Classic Package OR the Dynamic Package. Please advise at the time of booking the excursion package you wish to choose.
