Sea Cloud -
4 masts, 22 full sails, deluxe accommodations
& fine dining
Sailing done the old fashioned way
If you have ever had a yearning to sail the 7 seas under billowing sails, the way it was done in times past; this is your opportunity. Built in 1931 for Marjorie Merriweather-Post and her husband Edward Hutton, the Sea Cloud is a one of a kind sailing vessel that has been transformed into the ultimate cruise ship.
Sail the most beautiful waters of the world
Four masts flying 22 full sails sweep us toward the horizon. Feel your soul blissfully soothed by the sound of waves and the rush of the wind, as the Sea Cloud sails the world over.
Small ship cruising means you can visit exciting small ports int addition to popular large ones. These ships cruise the Aegean, Tyrrhenian and Black Seas, the Mediterranean, along the Cote d'Azur and around the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean. A trans Atlantic voyage aboard the Sea Cloud is the experiece of a lifetime. Spend your days relaxing on deck under the full sails, enjoy gourmet dining and fine wines. What a journey.
The 60 person crew works hard both on and high above the decks to sail the ship "by hand," just as it was done 75 years ago. They serve a maximum of 64 guests. The service is personal and impeccable.
Rendezvous with Neptune, Bacchus and Lucullus
Meals aboard the Sea Cloud evoke the traditional style of the classic American yacht club of the early 20th century. Gather here for formal welcome and farewell evenings. You will be treated to artfully prepared cuisine enjoyed during open seating. Inspired by nouvelle cuisine, the menu is enhanced with local specialties which change with the itinerary. The Sea Cloud's chef personally selects ingredients from local markets. If you can take your eyes off the meal before you, enjoy the setting sun just beyond the dining rooms picture windows.
Take a cruise and see for your self. It is a spectacle you likely have never experienced - nor will again -- on the ocean today.
