Christmas Market Cruise Itinerary Vienna - Vienna
DAY 1
Embark at 6:00 PM in Vienna. Get settled in the cabins then come to the lounge to meet your crew. Enjoy a welcome cocktail. Dinner on board. This evening we will have an Austrian theme entertainment to begin your Danube River cruise.
DAY 2 Buffet breakfast on board. This morning there is an optional tour of Vienna when you will visit the Imperial palace which was the royal home of the Hapsburg dynasty for over 6 centuries. Vienna evokes the rhythm of the waltz with numerous sights and sounds. You are surrounded by the monuments to the Habsbourg, the treasures of her museums, and the musical tradition. The opera here is world famous. Christmas markets are also part of the fabric of holiday season. We invite you to discover the Christmas market in front of the Town hall, wonderfully decorated and with lively animation. It has an international reputation. Return aboard for lunch. Depart and cruise towards Budapest. Afternoon of cruising on the Danube, past huge historical and patrimonial treasures. Enjoy evening dinner and ball on board. Arrive at night in Budapest. Night stopover.
DAY 3 After breakfast, the morning consists of an optional guided tour of Budapest. Discover this amazing city, a metropolis in two entities: Buda with the hills and his valleys and Pest with the flat expanse. The panoramic view of this wonderful city on the banks of the Danube is classified worldwide cultural heritage by the UNESCO. You will also visit the Christmas market of Budapest on the place Vörösmarty. This Christmas market is one of the biggest of Europe, numerous craft productions are introduced here. At the end of the place, the famous pastry shop " Gerbeaud " is transformed into a living Advent calendar. Return aboard for lunch. Free afternoon, discover this city with your rhythm in outright marvels. Return aboard. Departure of the boat at about 7pm towards Bratislava. Have a Hungarian themed dinner followed by an enlivened party.
DAY 4
Morning of cruising. Breakfast aboard. For your entertainment games are offered on board. Have lunch on board. Arrive at Bratislava at about 2 pm. Optional guided tour of the Slovak capital, that once dominated in the north. Bratislava is nestled on the slopes of the southern edge of the Small Carpathian Mountains, on the banks of the Danube. The city occupies a privileged geographical site. The charm of Bratislava is in its old city: splendid baroque palaces, churches and beautiful plazas. In the old city you will have opportunity to discover the Christmas market of Bratislava: glassy decorations of soufflé, pottery painted by hand, and so many more objects of Slovak art to be admired. Return aboard. Dinner and gala evening. Departure and cruise at night towards Vienna.
DAY 5
Arrive in Vienna early in the morning. Breakfast buffet aboard. Disembarkation at 9 am. End of our services.
