The Mekong Sun was the first passenger vessel of this size to ply the waters of the upper Mekong in northern Lao. Built in 2006, she easily traverses the tight gorges and sandbanks and the captain has many years of experience on the river. The vessel features 15 comfortable passenger cabins, of which three are suites. All cabins are air conditioned, with private bathroom facilities and all feature floor to ceiling windows with French balconies. Delicious Lao, Thai and international meals are served in the restaurant. There is a sun deck, with easy chairs, sun lounges and small service bar on the top deck.
